A 71-year-old woman was killed, while another woman sustained injuries after being hit by a speeding tempo, while crossing the road. The incident took place in Kandivali West on April 5. According to the FIR, Bharati Shah and Hansa Dhivala started to cross the stretch near the Central Bank of India on S V Road when the signal turned red.

However, the speeding tempo jumped the signal and hit the duo. While Shah was killed, Dhivala sustained leg fracture and a head injury. A case has been filed against the accused, Iqbal Sheikh, 44.
