Mumbai: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division has launched a new QR code-based information system aimed at providing passengers with quick and easy access to vital travel details. This innovative move is set to enhance the overall travel experience for commuters, offering seamless access to real-time information through a simple scan.
Passengers departing from major stations, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and Panvel, can now simply scan the displayed QR codes at the stations to access essential information.
This includes the timetable for Mail/Express trains, Passenger Reservation System (PRS) rules, a route map, the official Central Railway website, and the RailMadad portal for grievance redressal and assistance.
"In an effort to make the service accessible to all, the information provided is available in three languages: English, Hindi, and Marathi, ensuring ease of use for a wide range of passengers. The introduction of this digital system aims to make train travel more efficient and passenger-friendly, ensuring timely updates and immediate access to important travel-related details" said an official.
"This initiative marks a significant step in Central Railway's ongoing efforts to improve passenger experience and streamline information dissemination, helping travelers stay informed and travel with ease" he added.
