Devotees to gather for 12-year Mahakumbhabhishekam at Matunga’s 102-year-old Asthika Samaj Temple from May 7 to 11 | FPJ

Mumbai: The "Mahakumbhabhishekam" of the idols of Lord Rama and Hanuman at the 102-year-old Asthika Samaj temple in Matunga will be held from May 7 to 11.

The ritual, held once every 12 years, will be performed by Sri Govindaraja Bhattachariyar along with his team of 21 pandits hailing from Madurai and the temple’s own priest Sri Raghavan. Details of the daily programme can be had from the temple website www.asthikasamajmatunga.com.
