Leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), including Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, highlighted the party's dedication to responsibility and leadership during a major rally in Nagpur. Ajit Pawar emphasised the party's core values, underscoring the importance of remaining grounded in both success and failure.
“We have always worked with a sense of responsibility, as it is essential to effective leadership,” he stated. Pawar also reaffirmed that the NCP draws inspiration from the ideology of visionary leaders such as Shivaji Maharaj, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, and social reformers like Shahu Maharaj and Jyotirao Phule.
During the party meet, Praful Patel, national working president of NCP, praised Ajit Pawar’s visionary leadership, acknowledging his role in rebuilding the party's strength in Maharashtra.
Patel also expressed disappointment that the party had been unable to focus fully on Vidarbha due to its alliance with Congress in the past. However, with a fresh approach and more seats won in the region, Patel called for new strategies to strengthen the party’s base and improve communication with local leaders.
In a rousing speech, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare emphasised the importance of continuing to build the party's strength. He also addressed the party's mission for the upcoming local body elections, urging the leaders to stay focused and disciplined. “The party must stay grounded, and we must work together to ensure victory in the upcoming elections,” he added.
