NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule will visit Beed district on Tuesday to meet the families of late Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh and Mahadev Munde, who were allegedly killed by a gang linked to Valmik Karad, a close associate of Dhananjay Munde.
On Monday, Sule expressed disappointment over recent political developments, stating, “I had hoped all parties would unite against the minister (Munde) accused of corruption and murder. I am disheartened by the current situation and never expected Suresh Dhas to meet Dhananjay Munde. Tomorrow, I will visit Massajog and Parli to stand with the families in their fight for justice.”
Sule further suggested that there was a possibility that Dhas might have been influenced by political maneuvering, stating, “It cannot be ruled out that Dhas has been managed. No politics should be brought into Beed. I had high expectations from Dhas. Whether Dhas has been managed or not, Chadrashekhar Bawankule will provide an answer. He was the one who arranged the four-hour meeting.”
Sule also referred to the resignation practices followed by prominent politicians in the state, saying, “When allegations were made against Chhagan Bhujbal, Ashok Chavan, and RR Patil all resigned based on ethics. Many in the state have resigned showing moral responsibility.”
