Maharashtra: Man Impersonating Customs Officer Accused Of Rape And ₹1.03 Crore Fraud
Based on the victim's complaint, the Naigaon police have registered a case under various sections and are currently conducting an investigation.

Palghar, Maharashtra: A 42-year-old woman residing in Naigaon area has alleged that a Mira Road man raped her for several months under the pretense of friendship and marriage. The woman claims the man showed her a fake ID card identifying him as a customs officer. She also alleges that he committed fraud amounting to ₹1.03 crore by promising to provide her with a flat. Based on the victim's complaint, the Naigaon police have registered a case under various sections and are currently conducting an investigation.
According to information received from the police, the woman stated that the man contacted her in June 2022. He allegedly proposed marriage, presenting a customs officer's ID card and a Reserve Bank of India gate pass as proof of his identity. The woman alleges that he subsequently took her to Nalasopara link road and raped her repeatedly over the past three years.
