In Beed, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar hoisted the tricolor and delivered a heartfelt address, honoring freedom fighters and commending the Indian Army’s success in Operation Sindoor, which he claimed bolstered national confidence.

Pawar congratulated gallantry medal recipients, promoting Prime Minister Modi’s Swadeshi initiative and the vision of Developed India 2047. He underscored Maharashtra's leadership in green energy, electric vehicles, and infrastructure, urging citizens to maintain unity and social harmony.

Across Maharashtra, the 79th Independence Day was celebrated with grand ceremonies, speeches, and tributes to national heroes, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. At Mantralaya in Mumbai, Fadnavis hoisted the tricolor, reaffirming the government’s commitment to development and unity amidst an atmosphere filled with patriotic songs.

In Thane, Shinde unfurled the national flag, recalling sacrifices for freedom and highlighting Maharashtra's significant economic contributions. He mentioned Operation Sindoor, marking a resolute response to terrorism. Thane celebrated with a midnight flag hoisting initiated by Guruvarya Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb, attended by Shiv Sena leaders and supporters.

A unique highlight included Spanish castellers in the city forming a human tower to honor the Indian flag during local festivities. The events represented a blend of tradition, cultural exchange, and a strong commitment to national pride and progress.
