According to the Cyber Cell, the helpline number 022-65366666 will be operational six days a week, from 9 AM to 8 PM. Dr. Sheetal Gagrani, the founder of Brush of Hope, stated that dedicated teams will be available to support victims of sextortion and cyberbullying. Victims can communicate in English, Hindi, and Marathi. The helpline teams will provide guidance and emotional support, and if necessary, victims will be encouraged to approach the police for further action. The primary goal of this helpline is to ensure that victims do not feel alone and that help is readily available.
IG Yashasvi Yadav emphasized that cybercrime is now the world's number one organized crime. Many victims hesitate to approach the police, making the helpline a critical first point of contact for those seeking assistance.
