Jharkhand Man Molests Woman At Mumbai's Dadar Station; Thrashed By Commuters Before Arrest
The incident took place on Wednesday evening between 6 pm and 7 pm on Platform No. 8, which was crowded with commuters. The victim, a woman in her thirties and a homemaker, was waiting to board a train when the accused took advantage of the rush and touched her inappropriately while passing by.

Mumbai: An inebriated man was caught and beaten by commuters after he inappropriately touched a woman at Dadar railway station during peak hours. The Dadar Government Railway Police (GRP) later arrested the accused.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening between 6 pm and 7 pm on Platform No. 8, which was crowded with commuters. The victim, a woman in her thirties and a homemaker, was waiting to board a train when the accused took advantage of the rush and touched her inappropriately while passing by.
Victim Raises Alarm, Accused Held Quickly
Shocked by the act, the woman immediately raised an alarm, drawing the attention of fellow commuters. Several people quickly intervened, caught the man, and thrashed him before handing him over to the police present at the platform.
The accused was taken to the Dadar GRP police chowky, where he was booked for molestation under relevant sections of the law, reported Times of India. Police officials confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
According to authorities, the accused is a native of Jharkhand and earns a living through odd jobs. Investigations are ongoing, and further legal action will be taken against him.

The bottle, allegedly thrown from a train moving in the opposite direction, first hit the ceiling fan, causing it to shatter into pieces. One of the shards struck an 18-year-old burqa-clad passenger, Amina Khan, but fortunately, she escaped serious injuries. The train from which the bottle was thrown was reportedly heading towards CSMT.
Passenger Reports Incident, Police Remain Indifferent
A 29-year-old commuter, Pranavi Billa, picked up the broken bottle and approached female police constables present on the train to report the matter. However, the officers failed to respond or take any action. Expressing her frustration, Pranavi said, "I tried to get the police to act, but they completely ignored me."
