The Goregaon police are looking for a 34-year-old man who has been absconding after allegedly killing his wife.
About The Case
The accused, Roy Sheikh, and his 24-year-old wife, Rekha Khatoon, came to Mumbai from West Bengal two months ago. Sheikh worked in a bangle-making workshop. The couple lived in Tiwari Chawl in Goregaon and had no children.
Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that Khatoon appears to have been strangled to death. There were also injury marks on her nose. The Goregaon police have registered a case of murder against Sheikh.
