In a letter signed by Dr G.R. Vora, Kamlakar Shenoy, Clarence Pinto and others, the group referred to the report with photo published by the FPJ on June 24 which clearly showed that Vispute had banned the use of mobile phones etc in the civic premises. "This is plain dadagiri," Dr Vora observed.
The group pointed out that this was in contempt of a Bombay high court ruling which permitted the video recording of meeting with public officials.. The group said there is also a GR permitting the video recording of meetings.
Dr Vora said the group will move Bombay high court for contempt against Vispute if he did not remove the board immediately. Vispute did not respond to queries from the FPJ. Shenoy and other activists have been regularly video recording their meetings with even police officials without any hitch.
