Mumbai: The Cases have been registered against two individuals for posting objectionable WhatsApp statuses against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The incidents were reported at Kalachowki and Malvani police stations under charges of hurting religious sentiments.
About The Case
The Kalachowki police have arrested a man named Anas Qureshi, who works as a salesman. According to the police, Qureshi had posted a WhatsApp status in support of Aurangzeb and against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
The complainant works as a delivery boy and is acquainted with the accused. Police said the accused had posted allegedly offensive messages on his WhatsApp Status update. On noticing the messages and photo, the complainant approached the police . He complained that his sentiments had been hurt. An FIR was registered
