The United Arab Emirate (UAE), Qatar and Kuwait's Moon Sighting Committees have announced that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated in these Arab countries on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Dubai, (UAE), March 29: The United Arab Emirate (UAE), Qatar and Kuwait's Moon Sighting Committees have announced that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated in these Arab countries on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Saudi Arabia also announced that Eid will be celebrated in the kingdom on Sunday. The announcement was made after the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon in the above countries on Saturday (March 29).

Today, Saturday, March 29, marks the last day of Ramadan, meaning Muslims in the UAE, Qatar and Kuwair will complete 29 days of fasting before celebrating Eid. The Muslims these countries will not observe the 30th fast of Ramadan 2025, instead they will prepare for the Eid prayers on Sunday morning.

Eid Al-Fitr is a special occasion that begins with prayers, family gatherings and festive meals. Authorities have urged the public to follow official announcements for Eid celebrations and prayer timings.

The Israel Embassy in Dubai extended its wishes on the occasion and said, "We wish the UAE leadership, people and residents Eid Fitr Mubarak. May this Eid bring you joy, peace, and countless blessings. May your prayers be answered, your heart be light, and your homes be filled with love and happiness."
