Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh & Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi Visit Mahakaleshwar Temple In Ujjain (WATCH)
They sought the blessings of Lord Shiva at the reverred temple and prayed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi visited Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday. They sought the blessings of Lord Shiva at the revered temple and offered prayers in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi wore traditional saffron outfits as they performed Rudrabhishek. The puja was performed by chief priests Ghanshyam Sharma and Ashish Pujari.
Talking to local media, he said that he wanted to visit the Mahakaleshwar temple for a long time. "It's finally today; Baba Mahakal called us, and we got the honour to perform puja here."

During the Rudrabhishek, Singh offered Panchamrut (milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar) to Shivling as priests chanted mantras.
The temple authorities presented Rajnath Singh with a shawl, memento, and prasad before finally taking off from there. He was seen spending time inside the temple premises.
Notably, MP Anil Firojiya, Rajya Sabha MP Balyogi Umesh Nath, MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, BJP Leader Usha Thakur, Chairman Municipal Corporation Kalavati Yadav, Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, D.I.G. Navneet Bhasin, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma, District President Vivek Joshi, and others were present in the temple.
