Schools Get An Online Route For Faster RTE Recognition Across Madhya Pradesh

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Private schools seeking recognition for Classes 1 to 8 will now follow a revised online process, with applications tracked at each stage and officials required to complete scrutiny within a fixed timeline under new instructions issued by the State Education Centre.

The process allows schools to submit applications through the portal, update details in draft mode and complete final submission after attaching the required documents. Applications will then move to the block resource coordinator for verification.

The department has directed officials to inform schools of deficiencies found during scrutiny and to provide 15 days to address them before any recommendation for rejection is made.

"If the shortcomings are removed within the given period, further action should be taken as per rules," said Nanda Bhalave Kushre, director, State Education Centre, Bhopal, in the instructions issued to district officials.

The new guidelines also require authorities to display the application status online to improve monitoring of recognition cases. Officials have been instructed not to seek documents beyond those prescribed under the rules.

For schools in Indore, the required records will include registration documents, building ownership or rental details, teaching-learning material lists, sports equipment details and fee records.

The instructions also cover accessibility provisions for students with disabilities. Schools will not be rejected solely due to the absence of a ramp if other barrier-free arrangements are available. Officials will assess such facilities before taking a decision.

The State Education Centre has asked district-level officers to complete all recognition-related cases according to the revised procedure.
