Now, Indore’s DAVV Degree Verification Can Be Done Via QR Code

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a major step towards digital transformation, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) is all set to introduce QR code-based verification for degree certificates.  

The new system will enhance security and transparency and allow employers and educational institutions to instantly verify degrees online eliminating delays and the risk of fraudulent credentials.

Two years ago, DAVV upgraded its traditional degree certificates by introducing bilingual (English and Hindi) formats and incorporating new security features. Now, the university has further streamlined the verification process by integrating a QR code linked to a digital database.

Enhanced security against fake degrees

Deputy registrar (exams and confidential) Prajwal Khare said that the QR code verification system simplifies authentication while ensuring security. "This will make the process more transparent and prevent the circulation of fake degrees," he said.

"Previously, document verification for students going abroad used to take months. Now, it can be done within seconds," he added. The QR code stores essential details, including the student’s name, course, passing year and institution details making verification foolproof. Employers and institutions can now verify credentials with confidence eliminating the traditional paperwork hassles.

Simple and fast verification process

-Open the official verification portal: https://degreeverify.dauniv.ac.in.

- Click on the "Start Verification" button.

- Grant camera access on the device being used.

- Scan the QR code printed on the degree certificate.

- If the degree is authentic, a "QR Code scanned successfully" message will appear.

- If required, complete the online payment for verification.

- Upon successful verification, a verification number will be generated and the authenticated certificate can be downloaded.
