Khetia (Madhya Pradesh): MLA Shyam Barde highlighted issues facing Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Khetia, stating that it lacks trade courses that meet local demand and suffers from a shortage of trainers. He met with Skill Development Minister Gautam Tentwal, accompanied by a delegation, to request the approval of new trades and appointment of qualified trainers.
Barde explained that the limited number of trade courses currently offered at Khetia ITI is hindering student enrollment and employment opportunities.
He proposed the introduction of new trades, including motor mechanic, vehicle diesel mechanic, solar technician, refrigeration and air conditioning, sewing, and beautician. He emphasised that shortage of trainers is negatively impacting the quality of training provided.
Minister Tentwal expressed his in-principle agreement with Barde's demands and assured that approval would be granted soon. Barde noted that Pansemal area is a tribal and border region, making the ITI a crucial centre for vocational training for local youth.
He believes that with adequate resources and staff, the ITI can significantly contribute to self-reliant India campaign. BJP district president Ajay Yadav and other party workers were present during the meeting with the Minister.
