Madhya Pradesh: DIY Pool Built By Kids To Beat The Heat In Susner
In Adda Street, a group of children transformed an old water tank into a makeshift swimming pool.

Susner (Madhya Pradesh): A DIY swimming pool was constructed by local children in Susner to escape the intense heat of 'Nautapa'. As the temperature rises, residents are feeling the effects of the scorching sun, which has made life difficult.
On Monday, the second day of 'Nautapa', the heat forced many people to stay indoors, but children found a creative way to cool off.
In Adda Street, a group of children transformed an old water tank into a makeshift swimming pool. They jumped into the water for hours, enjoying their time and bringing smiles to the faces of passersby.
However, locals expressed concern over the lack of proper swimming facilities in the city. Every summer, children resort to using old water sources for relief, but this method poses safety risks. Citizens have urged the Municipal Council to construct a safe and permanent swimming pool for children to enjoy swimming and stay cool.
Resident Shiv Chauhan emphasised need for sports and exercise facilities for children, noting that swimming is not only a great way to beat the heat but also an essential life skill.
Susner Municipal Council president Lakshmi Sisodia announced that a proposal to build a swimming pool would be presented in the upcoming council meeting.
