The focus of the workshop is on Microvascular Stimulation (MVS) - a specialised neurosurgical technique used to relieve pressure on cranial nerves by separating them from nearby blood vessels. This procedure is particularly effective in treating conditions such as Trigeminal Neuralgia and Hemifacial Spasm.
The surgery involves accessing the brainstem region, identifying the offending vessel, and gently decompressing the nerve to prevent further compression.
