Indore To Get New Fire Stations & Multi-Purpose Vehicles For Quick Disaster Relief, Collector Ashish Singh Chairs Meeting
Five new fire stations are to be established, and the fire brigade and SDRF team members will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety gear and equipment.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Ashish Singh chaired a meeting on disaster management in Indore on Friday. During the meeting, the collector outlined significant steps to strengthen the city's response to fire accidents and other disasters.
Several decisions to assist quick disaster response were taken. Five new fire stations are to be established, and the fire brigade and SDRF team members will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety gear and equipment. Moreover, an order for new multi-purpose vehicles has gone through, and the city will receive them soon.

According to information, the new fire stations are set to be established in key locations, including Scheme Number 78, Devguradia, Rau, Dhar Road, and ISBT Kumedhi, to ensure rapid response in critical situations. Land for these stations has been identified, and allocation will be expedited. In addition, fire brigade and SDRF team members will be equipped with state-of-the-art safety gear and advanced equipment.
The teams will also receive new firefighting vehicles with modern facilities. A directive was issued to purchase vehicles fitted with hydraulic ladders capable of reaching heights of 30 meters, and smaller vehicles will be acquired for firefighting in densely populated areas. To further enhance operational efficiency, new multi-purpose vehicles will be introduced, and a public address system will be installed for better communication during emergencies.
Meeting attended by senior police officials
The meeting, attended by senior officials including Commissioner Shivam Verma, Additional Police Commissioner Amit Singh, and other key departmental heads, emphasised that no compromise would be made in ensuring the availability of necessary resources and facilities.
