Name in voters’ list a must for exercising voting right
Having one’s name in the voters’ list is a must for exercising one’s franchise in the IMC election. The District Election Office said on Tuesday that, for voting in the IMC elections to be held on Tuesday, only voters whose names are mentioned in the voters’ list can exercise their franchise. The District Election Office has clarified that, in case one’s name is not in the voters’ list, information about getting the facility of voting on the basis of other documents is completely misleading.
It has been informed by the District Election Office that misleading information is being circulated on social media in this regard that, if the name is not in the voters’ list, voters can vote with the help of various documents along with filling Form-A.
