Indore Collector Declares Local Holidays For Makar Sankranti, Rangpanchami, Dussehra & More; Check Full List

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore district administration has released the list of local holidays for 2025 on Monday.
Collector Asheesh Singh issued an order declaring the local holidays for this year. However, these holidays will not apply to banks and the treasury.
According to the schedule, a local holiday has been declared for Makar Sankranti on 14th January 2025, as the festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the city.

Another holiday is announced for Rangpanchami on March 19 2025 (Wednesday). Rangpanchami is a grand celebration in Indore, marked by the world-famous Ger, a colorful procession that has been a tradition for over 100 years.

Off for Dussehra Milan
Another local holiday will be observed on October 3, 2025, the day after Dussehra, for Dussehra Milan. This day allows people to celebrate and meet their loved ones after the grand festivities of Dussehra.
Additionally, a half-day holiday has been declared on 22nd August 2025 for Ahilya Utsav, which honors the legacy of Ahilyabai Holkar, a revered queen of Indore.
These holidays highlight the cultural richness of Indore and its vibrant traditions. Residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly.
