Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a creative public outreach effort, Railways has roped in popular cartoon character Chhota Bheem to promote passenger safety and awareness at Indore railway station. The campaign began on Wednesday and features a dedicated Chhota Bheem Corner at the station to draw attention to key safety messages.
Recognising Chhota Bheem’s immense popularity among children, authorities are using the character to convey messages about not boarding or deboarding moving trains and to discourage trespassing on railway tracks. The initiative aims to use children as messengers to spread awareness among adults as well.
As part of the campaign, digital screens, loudspeaker announcements, street plays and exhibitions are being used to engage passengers. The Chhota Bheem-themed display has become a major attraction, especially for children and families, who are seen clicking pictures and selfies with the character while absorbing safety messages displayed.
The Western Railway’s Indore division is also running the campaign on social media and other digital platforms. The initiative has been designed to make railway safety communication visually appealing, relatable and interactive. The campaign will continue at Indore Railway Station till June 22, and will then move to Ujjain and Ratlam railway stations.
