Indore: Alok Kumar Singh Takes Charge as IG of CSWT BSF | FPJ
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Alok Kumar Singh, Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF), officially took charge of the Central School of Weapons and Tactics (CSWT) BSF Indore on Monday.
A highly decorated officer, Singh has held several prestigious positions in India and the United Nations, serving in critical assignments across the police force. He has been instrumental in high-stakes anti-terror operations, including the Anti-Veerappan campaign, counter-militancy efforts in Jammu & Kashmir and anti-Naxal operations spanning three states.
Beyond combat roles, Singh has played a pivotal part in disaster management across the seven north-eastern states, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. His leadership within the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), has earned widespread recognition.
His exceptional service has been acknowledged with several distinguished honours, including the Prime Minister’s Appreciation Letter, the President’s Police Service Medal, two Chief Minister’s Medals, the UP CM Special Ops Seva Medal, the United Nations Medal and the 22nd Director General Commendation Roll.
With his vast experience and impeccable track record, Singh’s appointment is expected to bring a new level of training excellence and operational strength to CSWT BSF Indore.
