Goa’s Man Gives New Lease Of Life To 67-Year-Old Indore Man
The organ was donated by the family of Ajay Giri (45), who was declared brain dead following a severe brain haemorrhage at Manipal Hospital, Goa.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A green corridor was prepared in the city once again to transport a liver for transplantation, ensuring a swift and safe transfer from the city airport to Vishesh Jupiter Hospital.
Moreover, it is for the first time that a liver was airlifted to Indore via a regular flight, from Goa. The organ was donated by the family of Ajay Giri (45), who was declared brain dead following a severe brain haemorrhage at Manipal Hospital, Goa.
The decision of donating the vital organs was taken by Giri’s wife, who wanted to see her husband alive even after death and her decision gave a new lease of life to a 67-year-old patient at Jupiter Vishesh Hospital.
The transplantation was undergoing till late evening and the process was closely monitored by MP Shankar Lalwani, divisional commissioner Deepak Singh and MGM Medical College dean Dr VP Pandey.
Muskaan Group’s Jeetu Bagani and Sandipan Arya too played important roles in coordination of preparing the green corridor.
From airport to Vishesh Jupiter in 15 minutes
The liver left Goa at 12:31 PM and landed at Indore Airport at 4:22 PM.
With the support of traffic police and administration, a green corridor was created, allowing the organ to reach Jupiter Hospital in just 15 minutes at 4:37 PM.
