AYUSH Minister Focuses On Research Advancement In Ayurveda Pharmacy In Indore
Inder Singh Parmar visits Ashtang Ayurveda College

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): AYUSH minister Inder Singh Parmar has directed the formation of a special committee to initiate postgraduate courses at Ashtang Ayurveda College to enhance Ayurveda education and services, Chairing the general body meeting, Parmar emphasised research advancements in and proposed setting up a laboratory on government-allocated land.
He instructed the institution to prepare detailed proposals for these initiatives and stressed the importance of establishing a Panchkarma Centre to benefit more people.
Parmar also called for sustained efforts to raise awareness about the Ayurveda medical system and maximise public access to its health services.
The minister also focused on infrastructure development, directing repairs of the Ayurveda hospital at Rau and preparing a valuation-based proposal for a new building. He also highlighted the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments and encouraged innovative approaches to promote Ayurveda services and research.
Commissioner AYUSH department representative Dr HS Dabar, principal of Gujarati Samaj Homoeopathy College Dr SP Singh, divisional AYUSH officer Dr HansaBaria, and other dignitaries attended the meeting. Principal Dr Ajitpal Singh Chauhan presented the institution's progress report.
Trainee officers urged to preserve ancestral knowledge
Parmar also addressed the trainee Ayurveda officers and students and spoke about Ayurveda's enduring significance, calling it a transformative way of life when integrated with yoga. He urged them to preserve ancestral knowledge and eliminate misconceptions to advance India’s global standing under PM Modi’s vision for 2047.
Parmar introduced the Prakriti Pariksha Abhiyan for personalised health assessments and stressed expanding Ayurvedic services, including treatments for diseases like sickle cell anaemia in tribal areas.
