Abducted Cloth Merchant Rescued From Shivpuri, 3 Abductors Arrested
They had abducted the cloth merchant after he lost their money in a betting app.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three abductors were arrested and the cloth merchant who was abducted by them was safely rescued from their clutches from Shivpuri, police said on Thursday.
They had abducted the cloth merchant after he lost their money in a betting app. The family members of the victim had transferred Rs 50,000 to the bank account number given by the accused. DCP (zone-1) Vinod Kumar Meena said that cloth merchant Pawan Jain’s wife approached the Aerodrome police station and lodged a complaint that her husband was abducted as she had received a ransom call from her husband’s number. Her husband had left home a couple of days ago saying that he was going to Jaipur for business-related work.
A team led by Aerodrome police station in charge Tarun Singh Bhati was constituted for the investigation and they first traced Pawan’s location to Pachore in Rajgarh district and later his location was found to be in Shivpuri late on Wednesday.
The team reached Shivpuri and managed to arrest three persons named Gajraj Ahirwar, a resident of Pachore in Rajgarh district and present resident of Star Square area in the city, his relative Bablula Ahirwar and Diwan Ahirwar, both residents of Rajgarh district. The victim was also recovered from their clutches.
Initial investigation revealed that he had left for Rajgarh and not for Jaipur as he had told Gajraj that he could get him double the amount of money through a betting app. Gajraj gave him Rs 50,000 to double through the betting app but Pawan lost all the money. Disturbed by the loss and hoping to recover the money Gajraj told him that his relative Babulal was also interested in investing money. He took Rs 1.75 lakh from Babulal but this time also he lost money.
Then, the accused hatched a plans to recover their entire amount and lured Pawan by saying that Diwan Ahirwar was ready to place Rs 5 lakh on the betting app. Thereafter the trio abducted him. Later, one of them made a phone call to Pawan’s wife demanding Rs 3 lakh for his release.

Pawan’s wife had received a ransom call on Tuesday evening. She was shocked hearing that her husband was abducted and the abductors demanded Rs 3 lakh. She informed her other family members and transferred Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 to the bank account given by the caller. The bank account belongs to Gajraj. These transfers gave a clue about the accused to the police. The account was opened with a bank in the Shivpuri district.
The accused are being questioned further and efforts are being made to recover the transferred money from them.
