40-Year-Old Hangs Self After Argument With Wife Over Her Alleged Affair In Indore
The incident came to light when Manoj’s father, who woke up to use the bathroom, found his room door open and saw him hanging.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 40-year-old man hanged himself after an argument with his wife over her alleged affair with another man in Indore on Saturday.
The man named Manoj Chauhan, hanged himself at his home in Lasudia late Saturday night after an argument with his wife, Shanu.
The incident came to light when Manoj’s father, who woke up to use the bathroom, found his room door open and saw him hanging.
The family immediately informed the police.
According to information, Manoj had been upset about Shanu’s job at a food company. He suspected that one of her coworkers frequently called her late at night, which led to repeated arguments between the couple.
Despite Manoj asking her to leave the job, Shanu refused, causing further tension in their relationship.
Manoj’s younger brother, Rahul, also alleged that one of Shanu’s coworkers had threatened Manoj, adding to the stress in their marriage.
Two days before the incident, Shanu filed a complaint of domestic violence against Manoj at the Lasudia police station. Police detained Manoj, but his brother Rahul brought him back home the next day. Following this, Shanu moved to her uncle’s house in Malviya Nagar.
Manoj and Shanu had a love marriage 10 years ago and lived in a rented house with their two children—an 8-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son.
Manoj worked as a driver but had stopped working recently due to ongoing family issues.
Police believe family disputes and tensions related to Shanu’s coworker may have driven Manoj to take this extreme step.
The case is under investigation, and further details are awaited.
