West Bengal News: Sealdah Court Rejects Plea For Site Visit In RG Kar Rape-Murder Case
According to the court sources, the judge told the petitioner’s counsel that the lower court cannot give permission to ‘parallel investigation’.

Kolkata: Session court on Wednesday had slammed CBI over their probe in RG Kar rape and murder incident.
The court also rejects the deceased medic’s lawyer’s plea to visit the place of occurrence.
According to the court sources, the judge told the petitioner’s counsel that the lower court cannot give permission to ‘parallel investigation’.
“The plea seems that you are asking for a parallel investigation. How can permission be given to a private body when the probe is ongoing?” asked the judge.
The judge also slammed the CBI for their delay.

“Why didn’t the CBI oppose this? Does the agency now expect the survivor’s family to assist in the investigation?” further questioned the judge of the Sealdah court.
The judge had also advised the petitioner to approach the High Court if they wish to pursue the matter further.
