The impact damaged the Scorpio significantly, with the driver's side door getting jammed, trapping the intoxicated driver inside. A bystander helped pull him out by forcing open the door before slapping him and chasing him away from the scene. Police have identified the driver as Sonu from Ahimamau.
Local residents allege that Ciwaz Dhaba illegally serves alcohol to customers who drink in parked vehicles outside. Despite repeated complaints against dhaba operator Sandeep Singh, no action has been taken due to his alleged connections with local politicians and police.
