Lucknow: In a bizarre burglary incident in Lucknow’s Indira Nagar C-Block, two thieves broke into a retired banker's locked house and not just stole, but also chill first. Before even touching the valuables, the duo cooked Maggi in the kitchen, followed it with a peas stir-fry, and feasted leisurely. They then switched on the AC and relaxed for a while, truly settling in like uninvited guests on vacation.
The retired banker, Bhupal Singh, had left for Delhi with his wife for treatment, staying with their son posted in the Army. The thieves took full advantage of the empty home.
Neighbor Deepa Bisht, who was watering the plants, noticed lights on and a broken lock. Police were alerted. The intruders had ransacked the house but only managed to steal some cash, as the family had taken their jewellery along.
This isn’t a first time thing for the area, last year, another burglar dozed off under the AC after stealing a full household. Looks like because of Indra Nagar home's beauty, even thieves are stopping to take a tea break.
