Uttar Pradesh News: Ayodhya To Get 300-Bed Super Specialty Hospital Near Ram Path; Old Sitapur Eye Hospital Site To Be Redeveloped
Ayodhya is set to get a 300-bed super specialty hospital, replacing the long-shuttered Sitapur Eye Hospital located in Sahabganj. According to district officials, the new facility will be built along Ram Path between Ayodhya Cantt and Ayodhya Dham, enabling faster access for patients and better referral services in the region.

Ayodhya: Ayodhya is set to get a 300-bed super specialty hospital, replacing the long-shuttered Sitapur Eye Hospital located in Sahabganj. According to district officials, the new facility will be built along Ram Path between Ayodhya Cantt and Ayodhya Dham, enabling faster access for patients and better referral services in the region.
District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde confirmed that the proposed hospital site is situated near Chowk Gulabbari on Ram Path, making it suitable for smooth transport and accessibility.
The location lies approximately 2.5 kilometers from the district hospital, around 4 kilometers from Shri Ram Hospital, about 6 kilometers from the medical college, and 5 kilometers from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site. Officials stated that the site is well-connected by road, facilitating ease of travel for emergency and referred patients.

The project is currently in the final approval stage with the state government. Once clearance is obtained, the old hospital structure will be demolished to make way for the new facility. The land will be divided into two sections, one for hospital infrastructure and the other for residential quarters for doctors and staff.
The initiative aims to expand healthcare capacity in the city and improve medical access for residents and visitors alike.
