A day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over population rise of a particular community, the leaders of his own party and opposition have crossed swords.

Warq said that birth of a child is not in the hand of human being but is governed by the God. He said that Almighty Allah provides food to the one who takes birth. SP leader said that if everyone gets proper education the problem of population would not rise. He said that to avoid handling greater issues of unemployment and poverty, BJP has been raising such issues.
Meanwhile the Deputy CM in Yogi cabinet, Brajesh Pathak said that population control is must for proper development of any state or nation. He said that rapid growth in the population must be restricted. Former minister and BJP leader Siddharthnath Singh advocated population control and said that CM Yogi has rightly said that there should be curb on it. He went to the extent of saying that there should be a law to check population growth. Singh said that UP government had prepared population policy in its previous regime and now is the time to implement it.
