UP Shocker: 5-Year-Old LKG Student Collapses, Dies In School; Family Alleges Negligence

Firozabad: A five-year-old Lower Kindergarten (LKG) student tragically passed away due to a suspected heart attack at his school in Firozabad on Friday, March 7, police officials reported.
According to CCTV footage, the child suddenly collapsed as his health deteriorated. School staff attempted to revive him by massaging his hands and feet before rushing him to the hospital. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
School Staff Fled After Boy's Death
In a shocking turn of events, the school staff reportedly left the child’s body at the hospital and fled, officials said. Upon receiving the news, the grieving family rushed to the hospital and immediately contacted local police, alleging negligence on the part of the school administration.
Authorities have sent the child's body to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. While the official medical report is awaited, doctors suspect the young boy suffered a fatal heart attack.
What Did the Investigation Reveal?
Inspector Yogendra Kumar of Kotwali South police station, told ETV Bharat, "Doctors suspect the child probably died of a heart attack. The entire matter is being investigated. The exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report arrives."
The deceased boy's father, Manoj accused the school management of the death of his son. "Like every day, he went to school on Friday, and the child was not sick in any way," he told the publication.
This incident has raised concerns over the safety and emergency response measures in schools. Police are investigating the case further, as the child's family continues to demand accountability from the school authorities.
