Rameshwaram Cafe Blast Case Probe: 2 Prime Suspects Arrested By NIA In West Bengal

Kolkata: In a big update in the investigation in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, 2 chief suspects in the case have been detained by NIA in West Bengal. MMussavir Hussain Shazib who allegedly carried out the IED blast, and his accomplice Abdul Mateen Taha detained by NIA in West Bengal.
As per an ANI report, NIA released a statement saying, "The absconders in the Rameswaram Cafe blast case, Adbul Matheen Taha and Mussavir Hussain Shazeb were traced out to their hideout near Kolkata and were apprehended by the NIA team. Mussavir Hussain Shazib is the accused who placed the IED at the Café and Abdul Matheen Taha is the mastermind behind the planning, execution of blast and subsequent evasion from the clutches of law."
The arrests came days after NIA widened its probe efforts by scanning the associations and social circles of the accused. NIA had summoned several people connected with the accused right from their childhood.

Earlier on March 29, the NIA had also declared rewards of Rs 10 lakh on each of the two key absconders. NIA had also conducted searches on 18 locations in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.As part of its investigation into Rameshwaram Cafe blast dated March 1 at ITPL Road in Bengaluru's Whitefield, the NIA had had identified the two key accused persons who carried out the IED blast. The two accused are residents of Thirthahalli area in Karnataka's Shivamogga district. Muzammil Shareef, a resident of Khalsa in Chikkamagaluru, who had extended logistics support to the main accused persons, was arrested on March 26 and was examined in police custody.
