Rajasthan Congress to Remove Inactive Leaders, Reorganise Party Structure

Following Congress party senior leader and leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi's instructions, the party in Rajasthan has decided to shunt the inactive office bearers and leaders who are betraying the party by helping other parties. 

"Workers who are not interested in working for the organization and those who are helping the other parties will be shown the way out of the party. We are taking a report of such leaders from the state leadership,' said party in charge Sukhjindar Singh Randhawa after the extended executive meeting of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee in Jaipur on Sunday. 

The party has decided in the meeting that the party officials who are not active and remain absent from the meetings of the organization for three consecutive times without any reason, will be relieved from the post. 

Randhawa said that no leader is above the party, No matter how big a leader he is, he will have to attend the party meeting. Party workers will have to get active up to the grass root level. All the prominent leaders of the party will have to participate in the meetings of Block Congress Committees, and he himself will review the organizational activities by attending these meetings without informing anyone.

The party is also planning to amend the organisational structure to make the party activities more smooth and dynamic in the state.

The state president Govind Singh Dotasara submitted a proposal to form and reorganize new District Congress Committees in eight new districts and the districts with a population of more than 25 lakh.  The proposal was unanimously passed by the members of the extended executive and sent to the All India Congress Committee for approval.
