Rajasthan: 20 Feared Dead As Jaisalmer-Jodhpur Bus Burst Into Flames In Jaisalmer; Horrific VIDEO Surfaces

Jodhpur: A tragic incident has come to light from Rajasthan, where at least 20 people have reportedly died and several have been reported injured after a bus travelling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, carrying 57 passengers, caught fire. The death toll may rise further.
Horrifying visuals from the scene have emerged. Several passengers have been rushed to hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
According to the police, the bus was carrying 57 passengers and had departed from Jaisalmer at around 15:00. While travelling on the Jaisalmer–Jodhpur highway, smoke began to emerge from the rear section of the vehicle. Visuals have also surfaced showing injured passengers being taken to the hospital in ambulances.
The driver stopped the vehicle along the roadside, but within seconds, the flames engulfed the vehicle.
Rajasthan CM Expresses Grief
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reacting to the tragedy said, "The incident of a bus catching fire in Jaisalmer is extremely heart-wrenching. I express deep condolences to the citizens affected by this tragic accident. Instructions have been given to the concerned authorities to ensure proper treatment for the injured and to provide all possible assistance to those affected."
"May Lord Shri Ram grant a place at His divine feet to the departed souls. The state government stands with the affected families and is committed to providing them with every possible support," he added.
DM Reacts
Reacting to the tragedy, District Magistrate, Gaurav Agarwal said, "A bus caught fire in Jaisalmer, resulting in such a major accident. 16 injured people have been referred here. The injured will be given good treatment," he said.
Former CM Ashok Gehlot Expresses Condolences
Reacting to the tragedy, Congress leader and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "The death of 20 people due to a fire breaking out in a bus traveling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is heart-wrenching. The news of this accident has deeply disturbed my mind," he said on X.
"I pray to God to grant a place at His divine feet to the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of the injured." he added.
