A shocking video has emerged from Kannauj district where a woman named Reshma has accused her husband of brutally assaulting her when she asked for money for household expenses.
The incident occurred in the Nauraingpur outpost area under Gursahaiganj police station jurisdiction. In the video, Reshma alleges that her husband refuses to provide money for daily expenses and beats her whenever she makes such requests.
The victim, who is currently pregnant and has two children, was severely injured in the assault and has been hospitalised for treatment. She has filed a complaint at Gursahaiganj police station seeking justice.
"My husband doesn't give money for expenses and beats me when I ask for it," Reshma says in the video. She further alleged that this was not an isolated incident, claiming her husband has assaulted her multiple times before, but this time crossed all limits.
In a particularly alarming revelation, Reshma accused her husband of threatening to kill her and tell people she had run away. She also complained about being confined to the house and beaten, adding that without access to a phone, she cannot even contact her family members.
Police have taken the matter seriously and launched an investigation. A case has been registered against the accused husband, and further legal action is underway.
