Massive Fire Breaks Out At Lok Bandhu Hospital In Lucknow; Several Patients Evacuated | X
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), April 14: A massive fire broke out late at night on the second floor of Lok Bandhu Hospital in Lucknow on Monday (April 14). The incident created panic among patients and hospital staff. The fire erupted at the hospital at around 10 PM today, after which the fire brigade teams rushed to the spot immediately.
As per reports, 35 to 40 patients were admitted on the affected floor at the time of the fire, which also included the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for children. As soon as the fire erupted, there was chaos. Patients and staff began running to save themselves.
According to reports, the fire was likely caused due to a short circuit. After the fire broke out, the electricity in the hospital was shut down and people had to find their way out in the dark.
Firefighters reached the hospital quickly and began rescue operations. All patients stuck on the second floor have been safely evacuated, according to the Chief Fire Officer (CFO). Firefighting operations are still going on
