Karnataka Shocker: 15-Year-Old Gangraped Twice In Belagavi; 2 Accused Arrested

In a horrifying incident, a 15-year-old girl in Karnataka's Belagavi was allegedly gang-raped twice by six men. Two of the accused have been arrested. Reports indicate the assailants recorded the sexual assault and blackmailed the victim, threatening to circulate the video if she refused to obey them. The accused gang-raped her a second time using this blackmail.

The first incident reportedly occurred six months ago when one of the accused, a friend of the victim, lured her to a hilly area on Belagavi's outskirts. There, the girl was gang-raped while the sexual assault was recorded on a phone. Afterwards, the accused began blackmailing her, threatening to make the video public.

Even after the second assault, the threats continued. This time, the girl gathered courage and approached police to file a complaint against the accused, resulting in an FIR.

The accused have been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Acting on the victim's complaint, police swiftly arrested two suspects. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in this heinous crime.
