In an act of bravery, the two heavily armed terrorists belonging to the Pakistan militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), including one of its most-wanted commanders, were caught by the villagers and were handed over to the police in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi.

According to the Jammu Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), the apprehended terrorists have been identified as Faizal Ahmed Dar and Talib Hussain Shah.

According to an NDTV report, one of the captured terrorists, Talib Hussain Shah, was an active member of the BJP. He was also the party's Minority Morcha social media in charge in Jammu.

The BJP has however blamed online membership system which allows people to join a party without any background check.

"I'd say this is a new model -- entering the BJP, gaining access, doing recce... there was even a plot to kill the top leadership which was busted by the police," NDTV quoted BJP spokesman RS Pathania as saying.

According to the report, the BJP appointed Hussain Shah as in charge of the party's IT and social media in Jammu province on May 9 this year.

"Mr Talib Hussain Shah, at Draj Kotranka, Budhan, District Rajouri, shall be the new IT & Social Media Incharge BJP Minority Mocha Jammu Province with immediate effect" read an order issued by the BJP Minority Morcha J&K, NDTV reported.

Moreover, Shah has several pictures with senior BJP leaders including J&K president Ravindra Raina.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh to the brave villagers of Reasi.

"I salute the bravery of villagers of Tukson Dhok, Reasi, who apprehended two most wanted terrorists. Such determination by common man shows end of terrorism is not far away. UT Government to extend Rs 5 lakh cash reward to villagers for gallant act against terrorists and terrorism," said the Lt Governor.
