Hyderabad: In an inspection by a task force representing Telangana's Food Safety Commissioner which has been conducting inspections across the state over the past several months, the team inspected a Sodexo production unit in Telangana's capital Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The officials visited the Central Production Unit of Sodexo India Services Pvt. Ltd. in the Kondapur area on April 2, 2025. They flagged multiple food safety violations discovered on the premises, which includes a house fly infestation in the raw material reception area.
Few food articles were kept uncovered in the kitchen below knee height, blood from packaged raw meat was dripping in the chiller room and food waste was found to be accumulated at several places in the kitchen drains.
The flooring was found to be wet with littering of food waste in the grinding area.
The food safety team also flagged other storage and hygiene issues, which could possibly lead to contamination.
The Flooring was found to be patchy at some places in the kitchen and grinding area.
There was no proper gap between the wall and storage racks to ensure proper cleaning. Food articles kept in plastic trays stored on floor in cold storage.
Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana also posted photos and videos from the inspection.

Reacting to the inspection Sodexo India said, “Thank you @cfs_telangana & @fssai for the inspection & associated 93% compliance score for our Hyderabad kitchen. We acknowledge the gaps & remain committed to continuous improvement. The report is good encouragement & testimony to our safety, health & wellness best practices," Sodexo said replying to the X post by the official handle of Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana.
