New Delhi: The Delhi Police has arrested two men for allegedly robbing a 25-year-old man at gunpoint, an official said on Thursday.
The accused were identified as Haider Ali and Mohammad Anas, both 20 years old. Police teams also recovered the stolen items, including cash, an ATM card, an Aadhaar card and a country-made pistol used in the crime.
"The robbery took place on April 2 around 6 pm when the complainant, from Nangal Dewat in Vasant Kunj, was on his way to meet his uncle near Chhatarpur Pahadi. He was stopped near Andheria Mod Bus Stand by two armed robbers. They forcibly took his purse, which contained Rs 12,200 in cash, an ATM card, and his Aadhaar card," a senior police officer said.
A team initiated a thorough investigation, analysing CCTV footage from the crime scene and developing images of the suspects.

"They were apprehended from a picnic hut in Mehrauli. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime. Further investigation revealed that both accused had prior criminal records," said the officer.
