CBI Coordinates Return Of 2 Wanted Fugutives Suhail Basheer & Tofik Najir Khan From UAE Through Interpol Channels
The International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU), CBI in collaboration with NCB-Abu Dhabi and Kerala Police successfully brought back wanted Red Notice subject Suhail Basheer to India on 02.04.2025.

The CBI has successfully coordinated return of Suhail Basheer and Tofik Najir Khan from UAE through INTERPOL channels. Both the fugitives are wanted subjects of Indian Law Enforcement Authorities namely Keral Police and Gujarat Police respectively.
The International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU), CBI in collaboration with NCB-Abu Dhabi and Kerala Police successfully brought back wanted Red Notice subject Suhail Basheer to India on 02.04.2025. The Escort Team of Kerala Police returned with the fugitive criminal from UAE and the team arrived with fugitives at Cochin International Airport. The subject was earlier geo-located in UAE through close follow up by CBI through INTERPOL.
The subject SUHAIL BASHEER is wanted by Kerala Police in a case Crime No.1319/2023 registered at Muvattupuzha Police Station, Ernakulam Rural District, Kerala on the allegations of rape of a minor girl under the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. The subject was absconding since registration of the case against him. CBI got the Red Notice published through INTERPOL in this case on 02.12.2024 on the request of Kerala Police.
In another breakthrough, the International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU) of CBI coordinated with NCB-Abu Dhabi in bringing back the Red Notice subject Tofik Najir Khan from UAE. The subject is wanted by Gujarat Police in Criminal Case registered at Bavlu Police Station, Mehsana District, Gujarat for the offences of criminal conspiracy for forgery and cheating.
The Red Notice subject Tofik Najir Khan was returned from UAE to India on 02.04.2025 at Cochin International Airport and was handed over to Gujarat Police Team. CBI got the Red Notice published through INTERPOL in this case on 25.02.2025 on the request of Gujarat Police.
Red Notices published buly INTERPOL are circulated to all the Law Enforcement Agencies globally for tracking of the wanted Criminals.
CBI as the National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India, coordinates with all Law Enforcement Agencies in India through BHARATPOL for assistance via INTERPOL channels. More than 100 wanted criminals have been returned to India in last few years through coordination via INTERPOL channels.
