Caught On Camera: Son Brutally Thrashes Elderly Mother With Slippers In Rajasthan's Kota (VIDEO)

Kota: A disturbing video has surfaced from Kota, Rajasthan, showing a man brutally assaulting his elderly mother. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the accused, Deepu Mehra, attacking his elderly mother with kicks and slippers. The cries of children in the family can be heard in the background.

In the video, the elderly woman is seen sitting on the floor while the man, seated on a coffee table, pulls her hair from behind. Another woman, whose face is not visible, attempts to intervene and stop the assault. The man then stands up and begins striking the elderly woman on her head and neck. Cries can be heard in the background.

The elderly woman is later seen lying on the floor, but the cruel son continues his attack, kicking her while sitting on the coffee table. A voice in the background, crying, can be heard saying, "Kutte, mat kar na, kutte."

The man also verbally abuses the elderly woman. He once again pulls her hair while she lies on the floor after being beaten. A minor child is visible in the video, witnessing this disturbing and cruel act. The video abruptly ends, possibly because the man attacks the woman recording it

The incident took place on July 20 at Om Green Meadows Apartment, where 65-year-old Santosh Bai was subjected to a violent assault by her son. Reportedly, Mehra broke the gate of his sister's house before entering inside and assaulting the elderly woman.

Family Dispute

The assault, reportedly stemed from a family dispute. The complaint filed by Santosh Bai alleges that her son also assaulted her husband during the incident. 

Accused Granted Bail

The video has been provided to the police and based on the evidence the police arrested Mehra. The accused was presented before a court, which sent him to judicial custody, though he was later granted bail.
