Patna: Ahead of Bihar assembly election, the main opposition party, RJD, on Wednesday targeted Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his government over the state’s ‘plight’ by erecting a poster, showing JD (U)`s symbol ‘arrow’ piercing into the ‘heart’ of the state.
In the poster, it has also been shown how BJP`s symbol, ‘lotus’ being nurtured by the ‘blood’ oozing out due to ‘arrow’ piercing into the ‘heart’ of the state, is blooming. In the poster, Bihar map has been kept on a ventilator as RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is seen curing “ills of Bihar”.
The poster has been erected by the state RJD general secretary Bhai Arun Kumar. In the poster, Tejashwi is also shown implementing his promises made to the people of the state. The posters, carrying pictures of RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his wife and former chief minister Rabri Devi, cropped up at various places of the state capital.
Tejashwi`s poll promises include Mai-Bahin Yojana under which women will be given Rs 2500 each, free electricity up to 200 units, social pension and various other promises for the youth. On the poster, it has also been written that Bihar`s situation was grim and the present government was responsible for it.
Tejashwi on ‘X’ commented, “The government is insensitive. Bloodshed in Bihar! Some important incidents of January happened in Bihar during the demon rule of five NDA parties” as symbols of two blood drops also followed. He also listed out 83 criminal incidents which took place in the state last month.
Reacting sharply to RJD`s poster, JD (U) chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that people of the state knew well how the crime graph had been checked under the present regime. He alleged that 118 massacres, 67249 incidents of murder, 12827 incidents of rape and 5243 incidents of kidnapping for ransom had taken place when Lalu was ruling the state. It is ironic that RJD is now demanding Bharat Ratna for him.
