Thug Life Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Despite Negative Reviews, Kamal Haasan Starrer Is Heading For A Huge Double-Digit Opening

Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role, is undoubtedly one of the most awaited Tamil films. The movie has been dubbed and released in multiple languages, including Hindi. The film, which is directed by Mani Ratnam, has received mostly negative reviews, and even the audience has not liked the movie. However, despite the negative response from critics as well as the audience, Thug Life is heading for a double-digit opening.

Looking at the current trend, it looks like the film will collect around Rs. 16-18 crore (all languages) at the box office on its day one, and if there’s a big jump during the night shows, then the collection can go up to Rs. 20 crore. Well, the opening is good, but it won’t be able to beat Kamal Haasan’s Vikram day one collection.

The 2022 release had minted Rs. 32.05 crore (all languages) at the box office on its day 1. Till now, it has been Haasan’s biggest opening.

Well, after a good start, it will be interesting to see if Thug Life will be able to continue to do well at the box office during the weekend. The reviews and negative word of mouth can impact the film’s collections.

The Free Press Journal reviewer gave Thug Life 2 stars and wrote, “Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life is a movie with an outdated concept. It is predictable and very long. If you are a die-hard fan of Haasan, then you can give it a try. Others can skip it.”
