The actor-turned-politician, who started his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in 2024, is contesting elections for the first time. He is contesting from two constituencies: Perambur (in Chennai) and Tiruchirappalli East (Trichy East).

On Thursday, Vijay was spotted at a polling booth in Chennai, and while leaving the venue, he was mobbed by the media and fans. Thalapathy Vijay's Last Film Jana Nayagan

While Vijay has started concentrating on his political career, fans of the actor are still waiting for the release of his last film Jana Nayagan.

It was supposed to be released in January this year, but the movie didn't get a certificate from CBFC, and the makers got involved in a legal battle with the board. However, the film was later submitted to the revising committee and it is yet to get a certification.

Meanwhile, a couple of weeks ago, a few scenes of the movie were leaked online. Many celebrities had reacted to it, and urged fans not to watch the leaked content of Jana Nayagan.
