Sitaare Zameen Par X Review: Aamir Khan's Film Wins Over Netizens, Fans Say 'It Is More Than Just About Stars'

After much anticipation and hype, Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan, finally released in theatres on Friday, and it seems to have won the hearts of the audience. The film has been receiving only positive responses online, and the word of mouth will surely benefit the box office figures.

Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan in the lead role, wherein he plays a basketball coach for a team of specially-abled individuals. It also stars Genelia D'Souza in a key role.

Another user wrote how he missed this Aamir Khan in theatres. "Missed this Aamir Khan(terrific measured performance). Sitaare gang ne bhi bohot achi acting ki hai. Comedy hai jo hasati hai. Pre interval scene was beautiful and emotional (sic)," he wrote.

"This isn’t a comeback — it’s a reminder that stars don’t just shine, they lift others with them (sic)," a fan wrote for Aamir.

Prior to the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir had announced that the film would not be releasing on OTT platforms even after its theatrical run. He urged people to watch the film in theatres only, and he reportedly turned down deals worth over Rs 100 crore from various OTT platforms.

Given the positive reviews that the film has opened with, Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to earn anywhere between Rs 9 crore to Rs 10 crore on its first day.
