Singer Hans Raj Hans' Wife Reshma Hans Passes Away After Prolonged Illness
Punjabi singer and former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, Hans Raj Hans' wife, Reshma Hans, passed away on April 2, 2025. The 62-year-old was reportedly battling heart-related issues for the past few months. She was admitted to Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar, where she reportedly underwent a stent procedure.

On Wednesday evening, we got the sad news that Punjabi singer and former MP of BJP, Hans Raj Hans' wife, Reshma Hans, passed away at the age of 62. The singer's wife took her last breath on April 2, 2025, after prolonged illness. Reportedly, she was battling heart-related issues.
According to a report in PTC, Reshma was admitted to Tagore Hospital in Jalandhar a few days ago, where she underwent a stent procedure. However, her health didn't improve and she passed away on Wednesday afternoon. Reportedly, Reshma and Hans' wedding anniversary is on April 18. So, the singer sadly lost his wife just 16 days before the anniversary.
Reshma's brother, Paramjit Singh told the portal that she had been in the hospital for the past five days. Her last rites will be performed on Thursday at 11 am in Hans Raj Hans’ ancestral village, Shafipur.
Till now, the family has not shared any official statement.
The singer and his wife have two sons, Navraj Hans and Yuvraaj Hans. Both of them are singers. Navraj is married to Daler Mehndi's daughter, Ajit Kaur Mehndi, and Yuvraj is married to popular TV actress, Mansi Sharma.

In 2018, the veteran singer received the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award.
Hans Raj Hans Political Career
In 2009, the singer joined Shiromani Akali Dal. Later, in 2014 he resigned from the party and in 2016 he joined Indian National Congress. In the same year, he later joined BJP.
Last year in general election, the singer contested from Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency, but lost.
